Shaun trained as an English and Drama teacher and taught in a community college before becoming a full time writer. He has since worked with students in schools and colleges all over the UK as a visiting writer. He has helped students of all abilities (including special needs, excluded pupils etc) to realise their creative writing ambitions, and has directed student plays and performances.
